We provide many surgical services at our clinic including routine spay and neuters, soft-tissue surgeries and orthopedic surgeries. Routine elective surgeries are usually booked about a week in advance. Your pets must be fasted with no food or water for 12 hours before just like human procedures. Most surgies are done in the mornings and are discharged in the late afternoon so they are back home the same day. For some major othopedic surgies such as bone plating and knee TPLO procedures, we have a orthopedic specialist come in clinic to do them. Occasionally, we refer our patients to specialists (board certified veterinary surgeons) to perform complex operations. To determine if there are underlying medical conditions that may increase the risk of surgery, we highly recommend that a complete general physicl examination and blood work be done beforehand.
